New Samsung Galaxy phone to launch on May 3 in a mega-event
Much-anticipated next-gen Samsung Galaxy phone is all set to break its cover next month in a mega event. South Korean company has kicked off sending the invitations for the event, which will be held in London on May 3.
Albeit, it’s still unclear whwther the upcoming device would be released with the name of Samsung Galaxy S3 or not. But, the imitations for this event clearly indicate that a device of the likewise features is likely to unveil its face.
For creating hype around this soon-to-be launched gadget, Samsung has amazingly remained tight-lipped during Barcelona Mobile World Congress, in which major announcements are made and expected from the all tech-honchos. Hence, LG, HTC and Nokia rolled out their state-of-the-art devices during this conference.
It’s also notice worthy here that the event has been announced under the heading ‘Samsung Mobile Unpacked’. All the earlier flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 have been also launched under the same heading.
As per the rumors floating in the air, the new smartphone, whether it ‘s called by maker Samsung Galaxy S3 or whatever-else, will be flaunting a 4.7 inches 1280×720 pxl touchscreen. The device is also expected to be empowered by Samsung’s ARM-based SoC along with a quad-core CPU, which will clock at 1.5 GHz.
This upcoming Samsung mobile phone is also reported to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
The ad of event also spills the beans that there is only one phone to release during this event, considering company has invested so long time in its development.
