Google Music Now Comes with Deauthorization Limits

Posted on May 17th, 2012 by admin  |  No Comments »

There is some development on the mobile music front. And this relates to Google announcing a deauthorization limit for the countless users of its Google Music option. Google allows for 20,000 songs for free and then also gives the option of ‘deauthorization’ to the user whereby the users continues to get to download slogans in other mobile devices.

This way, Google is allowing only four ‘deauthorization’s per registration.

This decision is more or less on the lines of that Apple Inc has been doing with its Apple iTunes so far. Though how, Google Music users will react is something that only time will tell.

Now, about 80,000 songs in a year would appear as sufficient audio for the average listener but this stipulation is bound to affect the ROMers, rooters, bloggers and other enthusiasts. Google even otherwise has been having some kind of an uncomfortable time dealing with  custom ROMers and has ended up registering and deregistering on a number of occasions.

XDA developers who reported this news stated that this is a relatively new offer and the market will take some time to respond and then react accordingly. Till then, it will not be proper to comment on it. Google also, on its part and expectedly , has not given any statements as to what it thinks of the implications this move will bound to have on custom ROMers, rooters, bloggers and others who need excessive amount of audio.

Google has obviously wanted to do something about controlling the music download activity all across its customer spectrum.
