HTC Smartphone Devices Likely to Make it through US Customs!
HTC Corporation still just finds its way and get its two coveted smartphone handsets through the highly demanding American Custom authorities. We are here talking about the HTC One X and HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone handsets both of which have been withheld by the Customs for alleged infringement of a patent.
But now the reports clearly indicate that the Taiwanese mobile phone giant may still have its way as it has used a customized version of Android for its US smartphone devices that clearly circumvents the patent requirement. And chances are indeed very bright that the two HTC handsets in question may be cleared pretty soon.
Especially, the alleged “data tapping” feature has been removed by the customized version of the Android operating platform coming into the picture.
Among other, BoyGeniusReport’s technical staff also examined the AT&T run HTC One X and the Sprint run HTC Evo 4G LTE and found that neither of the smartphones do not possess the offending feature that has been excluded from importation into the US by the International Trade Commission (ITC) and this includes the new settings that are not present in the international versions of the two smartphone devices in question.
This is particularly true of the messaging found in all Android smartphones and this very much includes HTC phones. This option is found to infringe claims 1 and 8 of Apple patent #5,946,647. But the American versions of the HTC One X and the HTC Evo 4G LTE clearly pass this patent infringement test.
